Back in April, the world was introduced to the adidas Futurecraft.Loop. one of the most innovative sneakers that we’ve seen in a very long time, the running silhouette was made with eco-friendliness and sustainability in mind, and now, we’re getting up close and personal, thanks to sneaker insider @yankeekicks!
Marketed as the world’s first fully recyclable sneaker, the Futurecraft.Loop is a step into the future of the footwear industry. painted in an ultra clean all-white colour scheme, it’s made from a specially engineered TPU that is spun to yarn, knitted, and moulded. This means that once you’re done with your pair, you’ll be able to send it back to adidas, where they’ll reuse all the materials to make a brand new pair.
Other details of the Futurecraft.Loop include the striking red adidas logo on the tongue as well as the “100% RECYCLABLE”; text. The three stripe branding has been given the transparent treatment so wearers can flex their socks with ease, and of course, a full length boost midsole sits down below, clean-fused onto the upper so no glue is used whatsoever.
If you want a pair of Futurecraft.Loop, you’re going to have to sit tight. earlier this year, an very limited amount was released to two hundred creators around the world, with a public release scheduled for around spring summer 2021. That means you’re going to have to wait two whole years to get your hands on a pair!
